Bayside Woods is a Planned Unit Development built by Hansen & Horn which was built between 1981 and 1983. The community is known for its mature trees. Many shopping and restaurant options are nearby. There are 250 units within the community, with most buildings in Bayside Woods are comprised of three or four units. There are also seventeen ranch-style homes.
The Bayside Woods community is located on 96th Street between Allisonville Road and I-69, within Indianapolis, Indiana. The county is Marion and the township is Lawrence.
Bayside Woods is a Planned Unit Development (PUD), meaning homeowners own the land on which their specific unit is constructed on. All homeowners within Bayside Woods automatically become members of the Bayside Woods Homeowners’ Association, an Indiana Not-For-Profit organization. Homeowners must abide by the covenants. The covenants can be downloaded from the COVENANTS page on this website.
The Bayside Woods Homeowners’ Association insures the structures (but not the interiors) and also insures and maintains the common areas. Citizens Energy provides Bayside Woods with water and natural gas, AES supplies electricity, and Waste Management handles trash services. The City of Indianapolis maintains the main public roads, while the Homeowners’ Association takes care the side streets and driveways.

The Nickel Plate Trail is railroad that has been converted to a walking, running and biking trail. Take the trail to go to Fishers or take the trail to go downtown. A pedestrian bridge for 96th Street is currently under construction.

The Fishers Event Center opened in late 2024. It is home to Indy Fuel, Fishers Freight and Indianapolis Ignite. Located ten blocks from Bayside Woods.

Sahm Golf Course, a public golf course, is five only blocks away. It is part of Indy Parks... no country club membership required!

Easy walking paths in a nature preserve that is a short drive from Bayside Wooods.

The Amp in Fishers has free concerts during the summer. Located on 116th Street.

A mountain bike trail is located just past 96th and Allisonville. Members of the Hoosier Mountain Bike Association keep this off-road mountain biking trail in excellent condition. Seven mile loop of dirt trails, which include areas to shorten the distance.

In 2024 the final Classic Cars of Indiana sculpture was installed. These sculptures are located on 96th street between Allisonville Road and Keystone Avenue. They pay homage to automobiles designed and built in Indiana in the first half of the 20th century. The cost was 2.5 Million.
